Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri

is taking a picture of a policeman a criminal offense?

Dear Sir,

On September 15, 2001, I took a picture of a police officer with a stopped car. The police officer saw me take the picture and got into his car and chased me about 75 feet and stopped me. He came up to my truck with his hand back near his revolver and ordered me out of my truck. I was then handcuffed and patted down. The officer stated I was under arrest for interfering with a police officer by taking his picture.

Taking a photo of a policeman is not a criminal offense. If you haven't already hired an attorney to defend you on the charge do so, and after you win that case, sue the hell out of the policeman, the police force he works for, and the city, county or state that pays the police force for wrongful arrest, malicious prosecution and abuse of process.
