Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri

I will be on probation for 3 years as of April, 2 2010. I was given 5 years probation and SES. The charge was 2nd. degree assult,(DWI Resulting in injuries). It was a single car accident and the injured were my wife and friends. No restitution was necessary as they were my wife and friends. Insurance took care of all of that. How would I go about early release of probation? Can I ever own a firearm?

You should hire an attorney to file a Motion to Terminate your probation early. Depending upon the prosecutor and the judge involved, you may have a fair chance of success. As to owning a gun, I delieve that the federal law makes it illegal for a convicted feon to own a gun. since you have a SES, you are a convicted felon. Good luck. BY the way, if you do not already have an attorney, and your case is within the geographical area I serve, I would be happy to represent you on the Motion.
