Legal Question in Discrimination Law in Missouri

Gender wage and med leave discrimination

my wife was a salary plus comm. employee I was her manager.she became ill and needed surgery.after 2 weeks our boss stopped paying her salary without notice.after we complained that salary should continue,he said he did not have to pay anything as it is an at-will state.we agreed to an 8% straight commission an all sales that came in while she was recouperating.the last week that she was on the 8% she sold over 50,000 dollars and when it was time to pay her he wouldnt pay her 8% and paid her the old plan ,stating he did not intend for her to profit from it.as of this date we have resigned and he owes us 5000.00 in commissions . he is refusing to pay up because he is now saying we under priced the jobs. this is not true .help

Re: Gender wage and med leave discrimination

This sounds like a pretty knotty issue. It sounds as though there are a number of concerns and you probably need legal assistance. You should probably contact legal help quickly. You need someone who handles employment law matters. If you have difficulty locating someone, you can call the Missouri Bar in Jefferson City and they can give you the name of a good attorney in this area.
