Legal Question in DUI Law in Missouri

Automobile accident

I was in a near fatal crash in Sept. 06. As a result, I lost my income and have astronomical medical bills due to 4 broken discs in my neck. The defendant has full coverage insurance with the minimum limits in MO, 25,000 - this in no way covers my expenses, or considers future ramifications of this injury. We did NOT have underinsured motorist coverage, so my husband's insurance will pay nothing. Now we have lost our home, and I am still unable to work full time. Please help!

Re: Automobile accident

If you are saying that the other driver caused the collision and was drunk, then you may have the option of filing a lawsuit against him seeking damges in excess of his insurance coverage. You may lose this option if you accept the $25,000 and sign a release. Please consider consulting with an attorney. You may call me for a consultation.
