Legal Question in Education Law in Missouri

Hello, my name is Sarah Collins and I am 16 years old with a GED diploma. I just had a question that maybe you could help me with. I have tried college but my family and I can not afford for me to return next semester. Therefore I am wanting to continue High School and stay with my age group. I have contacted our High School but they told my mother and me that the government will not fund the school for my attendence since I do have my GED. I was told differently by my study instructor upon working towards my diploma.

Hi. I am a Missouri attorney that focuses primarily in the areas of personal injury (car accidents, slip and fall, etc...) and workers' compensation, so this question is not really within my area of knowledge.

Since I cannot think of who would be the precise person to contact regarding potential additional sources of government educational-aid, I can only try to steer you in the right direction to some extent. You may want to contact an attorney that handles social security/disability work. If you look in the yellowpages under social security/disability, they should have some attorneys listed in this area. Although this does not directly concern SS/disability, the attorneys who specialize in this area may be familiar with some of the sources of educational funding that you or your mother can try contacting for more information. If you have any other questions or other issues I can assist with, you can simply reach me by e-mail at [email protected]. Thanks.
