Re: Child support

An attorney would need more information to tell you whether you should seek an Order for child support. However, generally speaking, it is possible to file a Motion to Modify the existing Court Order in the same court which issued the existing Order regarding custody. You must plead and prove a substantial and continuing change in circumstances which make the terms of the original Order unjust and further that it would be in the best interests of the minor child or children or the parties for the original Order to be modified. I would strongly suggest that you consult with an experienced attorney in your area to obtain specific advice on your own situation. If you are in the eastern part of the state you amy cal me for a free telephone consultation at 314-727-2822.
