Re: Child support - Missouri

The Missouri child support statute has a lot of problems, and you are caught in the middle of one of them. The statute says that the obligation to pay child support is terminated when the child reaches the age of eighteen years unless the child entolls in college by October 1 after graduation from high school, and fulfills other requirements, in which case the obligation to pay child support can continue until the child reaches the age of 21, graduates from college, or is otherwise emancipated. If you continue to pay support, your ex may wind up owing you a refund. If you stop paying child support you may wind up with an arrearge. Good luck.
