Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

Disclosure

I need to know the laws pertaining to disclosure during a divorce. If you hide assests during a divorce and they are discovered, what are my options?

Re: Disclosure

In Missouri, a Court granting a Dissolution of Marriage must divide all of the marital property. Otherwise, whatever Judgment is entered is not a final judgment. Usually in these cases, the Court will reopen the case and the issues will be relitigated. Also, there might be a separate cause of action based upon fraud against the party who has hidden assets and filed false statements or made false statements to the Court. If you are located in the Eastern part of the state and you are not already represented by legal counsel you may call me for a free telephone consultation at 314-727-2822.
