Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

During my divorce, my lawyer did not suggest that we employ a guardian ad litem. Up until now, that has not been a problem, but now issues related to my ex-husband's visitation are coming up. Can I take him back to court to modify the parenting plan and use a guardian ad litem? I'm concerned for my young daughter's physical, mental, and emotional well-being. He has no relationship with her, and now wants to pursue visitations.
