Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

Where do I file to get back support dropped and necessary forms ?

I have been up to date on child support payments. I got sick a few years ago and could not make them and got behind. The children have been grown for some time now and I would like to get the $ 5000.00 dropped from the courts. How do I do that in MO. and what forms do I use ? I am on a limited income and am having a very hard time making ends meet so I can not afford a lawyer. I had to ask a friend to use his computer and skills to ask you this question. Than you for your time.

Back child support

If the custodial parent is agreeable, have the custodial parent sign a waiver of back support. This waiver can then be filed in the court which entered the support order. Providing that afdc or other welfare funds were not accepted the court should have no problem with cancelling the arrearages. You may qualify for assistance from your local legal aid.
