Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

Loss of custody

My son's mother took my son and havent let me see him for the past seven months, I have attempted to pick him up from school, and his mother's house. We have already been to court and had joint physical/legal custody established. All child support is current and I have even had the police to attempt a pickup of the child with no success. When we go to court is the judge:

1. Going to make me pay for her lawyer

2. Tell her ''well just dont do that anymore''

3. I there a chance that I will lose custody just because I havent seen him (my son)

I took the time to document the times that I attempted to pick him up.

Thank you for your time

Re: Loss of custody

Is there a court date pending? Did you or your ex-wife file a motion with the court? If you are planning to attend a custody hearing in court, I cannot stress enough the importance of hiring an attorney to assist you with the process. The answers to your questions will, in part, be dependent on whether or not you have an attorney representing you that can articulate your side of the story to the court. Too often I have seen parents go into court without an attorney and wonder why the court ruled against them. Custody hearings are fact intensive and you need an attorney to spend time reviewing your particular situation before he/she can give you an assessment of what might happen at the hearing. If you are within driving distance of Kansas City and would like further assistance, do not hesitate to contact me. Best of luck with your situation.
