Marrying previously married man

I am engaged to be married and my future husband has been married before and pays his ex-wife maintenance.

If he were to die before his ex-wife would I be responsible for paying her and/or could she sue me (his estate) if he were to die before her?

No, you will not be required to pay any maintenance to your new husband'a ex wife if he predeceases her. Any existing court order requiring the payment of maintenance is against him and not you.
