Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

Pick up and dromp off after long move

My Ex-husband has moved 8 times and held numerious jobs. His latest move will be across the state. It's about 4 hours away. Is it my obligation to meet him half way every other weekend 2 times, Friday night and Sunday morning? I looked in my divorce degree and it doesn't specify. Any information would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Not wanting to have to go back to court but will if I have to.

Lisa

Re: Pick up and dromp off after long move

Your post does not tell us which side of the state you are on, or which court has jurisdiction, or who has custody, or a number of other factors that might be important. There is a whole relatively new field of law involving "relocation" of one parent when there are kids involved. The moving parent is supposed to give the other parent a very specific written notice after which the non-moving parent can go to court if there are any problems. I have handled several of these cases, and I would be willing to help you if I can. If you are on the Easten side of the state, and you are not represented by other legal counsel, you may call me for a free telephone consultation at 314-727-2822.
