Recently divorced. Ex-husband has the house and the financial responsibility of the house. How can I have my name removed from the deed and relieve myself of any financial responsibility should he default on the payments.

What does your settlement agreement say? Your ex would have to have the mortgage refinanced, or he would have to assume the mortgage or the house would have to be sold and the mortgage paid in full. Taking your name off of the house (the title) will not relieve you of liability. You can notify the mortgage company of your address and request that they send you any notices pertaining to this mortgage. Put this request in writing and send it certified mail.
