Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

So I have recently graduated from high school and wish to leave my parents home; considering the fact that I am level headed, have a job lined up, and have a place to stay until I accumulate the funds to get my own place, I believe that I should be allowed to leave. This is not the case my parents wish me not to leave and are more than likely to force myself to stay. The only draw back to any of this I can see is my age being six-teen years old. My question is with all of these things considered and graduating a year ahead of many of my peers am I legally allowed to leave without their consent. Side Note I live in the United States and within the State of Missouri, I understand that this might be a factor in your answers.

If your parents forbid you to move in with this other person, you can petition the court to emancipate you. If successful, you don't have to obey your parents, (and they don't have to pay for your support, if you fail) But, it does not sound like you have earned enough money yet. You will have to prove to the court that you earn enough to support yourself. Living with a friend, is seldom sufficient proof, absent proof of physical abuse at home. If there is abuse, you may be allowed to leave, by putting yourself into the foster care system.

Good luck.
