Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

Reversal of homeowner deed

I've recently been divorced. The mortage to our house is just in my name, not my x-husband's. Through emotional distress and a bit of ignorance I signed a quit-claim deed obviously deeding the house over to him. He is currently residing in the house and has for the past year and is refusing to put the house in his name. He's constantly late on payments and therefore my credit is adversely effected month after month. I'm wanting to know if I could reverse the deed somehow back into my name? To possibly regain some leverage and incentive for him to transfer this property into his name. If not, then what legal action should or can I take to get this house out of my name and into his? Thank you very much for any and all information and guidance.

Re: Reversal of homeowner deed

You definitely need to take some steps to correct this. There is additional information I would need to properly advise you. There should be something in your divorce decree pertaining to the house and the responsibilitly for payment of the mortgage. You may call me for additional information, if you would like. 913-371-0600
