Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

Woman with vary greedy hands

on 12-5-05 we went if front of the judge and he granted my divorce with me paying child support 700.00. The next day my ex wife went to her lawyer lied and told her that i was working for another man and was making more money. I am not working for another man, So they are reopening the case. Can this really be done???? Is this legal that she can take me back to court in less than 30 day from the time the judge granted it???

The trial court retains jurisdiction for thirty days, and any post trial Motion to set aside the Judgment, reopen the evidence, or grant a new trial must be filed within the time. The amount of child support you were ordered to pay suggests to me that either you hvae several children or you make a decent income. Were you represented by counsel in this case? If not, why not? You definitely should have your own attorney, and if you already have one, you should be directing all of your legal questions to him or her. Good luck.
