Legal Question in Medical Leave in Missouri

Proof of travel

6 weeks ago, I flew to the UK to care for my father who lives alone. He had open heart surgery. Upon returning to the States, my employer requested a copy of my plane ticket to prove that I left the country. They said I had to give them that for my FMLA documentation. Can they do that?

Usually the answer will be yes. Your employer has a right to request proof of your need for FMLA leave.
