Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Missouri

Charges

I have just found out that someone who ''scammed'' me out of quite a bit of money is now in a county jail. How can I find out on what charges he is being held? Thank you.

Re: Charges

The charges against an individual are contained in a court file which is a public record. You may simply go to the court house and find the criminal clerk's office. You may need to provide the other person's name, date of birth, social security number or some other identifying information. After the clerk shows you the file, look for an "information" or an "indictment". There you will see the charges.
