Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Missouri

I was taken to court over a contract dispute in early 2014, a settlement was agreed upon and the law firm that represented the plaintiffs sent me an email with the terms of our agreement and agreed to send a satisfaction of judgement too the county court house, I sent certified funds which the firm signed for. I'm trying to refinance my home and this judgment is still showing on county records. Long story short I called the attorney who represented the plantiff and they seem like I'm bothering them, I followed through on my part according to the attorney she said her firm filed the satisfaction of judgement but after three phone calls the firm still hasn't emailed me the original release. It's causing a delay in obtaining my home loan. What can I do???

It sounds like you may need to file a Motion (if there still is time) to enforce the agreement. You should consult directly with a civil practice attorney, to determine your next best step. Perhaps they can convince the other attorney to file the Satisfaction without involving the Court. But, you may have to sue the former Plaintiff for breach of contract.

Good luck
