Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Missouri

My landlord in the lease wanted me to be help responsible for all the of the repairs, and if I failed to make the repairs he would charge $75 an hr to make the repairs, I told him no I will not be held responsible and refused to sign the lease, he said he would make a new lease and it never came, he stated that he wanted cash to avoid showing proof of income from this house, and he would stop by every month to collect the rent and inspect the property and he never showed up, all I had was a phone number and I had messaged him about the house how thier was no heat, how the foundation was slipping ceiling coming down, and I never got a reply and now he is evicting me for no payment of rent, what can I do as a tenant to fight back. And can he also go around and harrass my neighbors to get info about me to aid in this eviction?
