Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Missouri

I received garnish papers at work and my boss sent in the garnishment paperwork along with a head of household affidavit stating that I was head of household. Yet the payroll dept withdrew 25% of my take home pay instead of 10% and when this was brought to their attention I was told that the computer picked the amount to withhold. What can I do to prevent from happening again. State of missouri

If the employer cannot resolve this in house, you may have to sue them, or file an objection to the garnishment in the Court that issued the Garnishment Order. You have a limited time in which to act. You might also consider entering into a payment arrangement with the Creditor, to avoid an future garnishments.

Good luck
