Legal Question in Insurance Law in Missouri

I live in Springfield MO and a Farmer's Insurance client rear ended my car, totaling it. I called Farmers Insurance and my first adjuster told me they would cover the cost of my rental car up to $35 and the REQUIRED insurance fee of $13/day. (I am under 25). I just dropped my rental car back off at Enterprise and they gave me a bill of $363 for the insurance and for the amount over $23 they wouldn't cover. (the rental was $30/day). Do I have a bad faith claim? Will any lawyer be willing to help me for this small of an amount? Thank you.

Hi. I am a Missouri injury attorney that focuses primarily on auto accident claims, in most parts of the state. A few additional details would be needed in order to determine if a claim exists on your behalf. Did Farmer's Insurance reimburse you yet for the totaled value of your car? Did you sign a release, agreeing to accept a certain sum for the loss of your car and, in return, agree to release them from any further liability? If you have not yet signed a release, you should hesitate before doing so, particularly if there are outstanding rental car expenses that have not been paid. Also, did you sustain any injuries of any type? I would be willing to take a look at this. For your convenience, you can reach me via e-mail at [email protected]. Thank you.

Mike
