Legal Question in Employment Law in Missouri

Back Pay, possible damages

A small Internet Service Provider with 4 workers, 2 owners and two technicians (one being myself) have been working for 6 months (other tech.) and 2 months (me), both of us without pay. We want our compensation and are sick of waiting. First, Do they owe us back pay? If so, at Minimum wage or an average of what our positions pay? We have offered the option of them "giving" us the company and call it even. (they company is hardly worth what they owe us either). While asking for a response, we decided that we would refuse to work untill we got a meeting to discuss the situation. Can we be liable for damages by doing that?
