Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Missouri

My daughter and her roommate owed a fee for damages. My daughters half was paid within a month after they moved out. The roommate made arrangements with the apartment management to pay her half. The apartment accepted the agreement. The roommate made a couple of payments. The roommate has now made new arrangements to repay the debt. ( That is accepted by the apartment management) Each time the roommate is late with her payment we get a copy of her bill. Can the apartment attempt to legally collect the debt from my daughter?

Without reading the lease, it us impossible to give you a definitive answer. In many leases each roommate is responsible for all the debt. The one that pays more than their share, can seek reimbursement from the other.

Good luck
