Re: Legal document

Depends. Generally, a contract signed by a minor is considered voidable; that is it may be rendered void at the minor's option. The exception to this rule is contracts for the "necessaries of life" which are binding on minors. A lease for an apartment would be considered a necessary of life and binding upon a minor if the lease itself is a binding document. A lease to rent retail space would probably not be binding on a minor. A lease for a car may or may not be binding depending on the specific facts involved. You need to have lease and ancillary facts reviewed by an attorney licensed in Missouri to get an authoritative answer to your specific case.
