Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Missouri

Suspension without pay

I had to miss one day of work due to ill child. I was given a written warning. I got ill and had to see my doctor who gave me a written statement for my employer. One week after my supervisor accepted the statement I was suspended for missing work. Could he legally do this?

Re: Suspension without pay

Check the Family Medical Leave Act. They cannot legally take the action you describe.
