I believe that the applicable statute of limitations for medical malpractice (professional negligence) suits is two years from the date of occurance. Although, if your daughter was under 18 at the time she might have two years from her 18th birthday. Also, if the health care provider fraudulently concealed the cause of action so as to prevent the filing of a suit within the time allowed by law, that time might be extended.
