Neighbor trying to sue me on false charges

August 8, 2005 at 1:11pm

A neighbor little kid was bitten by a sickly looking black cat the week before last in, or near their backyard across the street from where I reside. It happened about 50 yards off of my property across the street. She had to have minor surgery to repair the bites. They immediately thought it was one of my cats, but it wasn't. The cat that bit the little girl was taken to the humane society and beheaded. The head was sent to Jefferson city where it was found that the cat did not have any rabies. There are many stray cats roaming the neighborhood. Most of the neighbors have cats they feed, but don't really call theirs. I see them every day, but the ignorant family next door probably tryed to convince Will and Mary that it was my cat. I'd bet ten thousand dollars on that. When I talked to the mother about it, I asked her how did her six year old daughter get close to a stray cat? The mother responded that she had a nine year old son who was ''Manic'' She said he picked the cat up from where it was resting, minding it's own business, and threw it upon his little six year old sister. Of course I would imagine that would frighten any cat and it grabbed and bit the little girl at that point.

Re: Neighbor trying to sue me on false charges

If you get sued, turn it over to your homeowners insurance right away. You shouldn't have anything to worry about if the circumstances are as you describe, that is, that it wasn't your cat, and her own kid threw it at his sister.
