Legal Question in Personal Injury in Missouri

PERSONAL INJURY SETTLEMENT PROCEDURE

I am inquiring about the proper procedure to follow in the time of settlement. I was wondering what are the necessary steps and what forms need to be completed. Please Email me.

Personal Injury Law - Settlement

The necessary documents will depend on the status of the case -- has anyone been formally sued? What court is it in? etc.

If you are not represented by a lawyer, you should be very cautious of the releases that you will be requested to sign.

Settlement forms

We really need some more information. For example, is it an adult or a minor who is settling the case?Do you understand who may be responsible for continuingmedical medical bills, or for that matter, past bills. Do certain bills have to be repaid out of the proceeds?

I encourage people to negotiate small cases without a lawyerbut I also encourage them to consult with a plaintiff's lawyeron an hourly basis to make sure that all of the importantpoints are acknowledged and recognized at settlement.

You should consult an experienced attorney in yourarea. Better now that later!
