Legal Question in Personal Injury in Missouri

pregnant woman hit at desk by car

I worked for a dealer and was six months pregnant. I was sitting at my desk when one of our customers drove through

the enterance and hit and pinned me at my desk. I was pinned across my stomach. taken to the er. where they sent 8 hours monitoring my baby. and was finally released. approx.1100.00 in bills,

I have settled different auto accidents before but I did not know if it change the way the settlement was figured when the victim is sitting at a desk and also pregnant?

what can be expected when trying to settle?

Re: pregnant woman hit at desk by car

Unless you have given birth to a perfectly healthy baby, do not even think of settling until such time as you have an opinion from the doctor that your baby is fine.

Second, you should file a claim under Workers Compensation for the medical bills. You probably have some money coming from them as well.

Third, in order to determine if its wise to settle, you need to talk with an attorney and review what happened. This could be a workers compensation only case, and it could be a case against the vehicle manufacturer.

If I were you, I'd see an attorney as soon as you could.
