Legal Question in Personal Injury in Missouri

being sued

I own a corporation with 3 others that runs a bar and grill. It appears we will have a law suit brought against us for an incident that happened outside of the bar. An individual was shot and that individual is suing saying we basically knowingly over served another patron leading him to shoot the plaintiff. what can he sue us for exactly? we don't have dram insurance so the insurance company will deny their claim. Can they only go after assets of the corporation or can they go after assets not held in the corporation name?

Re: being sued

You need legal advice quick. If you have a comprehensive general liability (CGL) policy it may provide coverage. This may not be a dram shop case as such, that just may be the claim of negligence. At any rate, you should turn this claim over to your insurer, and hire an attorney in the event they do not tender you a defense.

Good luck.
