When someone gives you a clear title to a manufactured home with no contract to repay the debt, can they sue you a year later for payment of the home?

Was the transfer of the manufactured home to you a gift? If so, did you get a "gift affidavit"? If not, was there a written contract involved? How much was the manufactured home worth? To answer your question, yes anyone can sue anyone for anything. The real question is whether or not you can defeat the lawsuit. I would strongly suggest consulting with an attorney in the county where the suit has been filed before taking any further action.
