Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Missouri

Quit claim deed - rights

I originally signed a quit claim deed over 2 years ago, and now it has come up that we didn't have the words single person behind our name. Does this make it invalid? My ex is now selling the house and closes tomorrow and wants me to sign a new one. Do I have a right to ask for some money for this deal? I originally did not get what I was entitled to.

Re: Quit claim deed - rights

Your question does not include enough facts for an attorney to provide a competent response. If you were divorced, what does the Divorce Decree say about the property? What do you mean that you did not receive what you were entitled to? If you are located in the eastern half of the state and if you need legal advice, I may be able to help you. You may call me for a free telephone consultation at 314-727-2822.
