Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Missouri

Time Share cancellation

While on a cruise in jan we purchased a time share in mexico, however later the same day decided we couldn't fit into budget, tried to call back, left msg, with receptionist, got no return call even when we got back to town, called again, was always told the person we needed to talk to was not in, we have not been able to get our deposit back, since contract says as a result of irrevocable decision to purchase the above mentioned interval ownership we will forfeit deposit. what should be our next course of action, don't you have 3 days to decide any more, also we were told we would get a free cruise in oceanview cabin, however when reading thru papers later found that not to be true, please let us know what our next step should be

Re: Time Share cancellation

You should consult with an attorney admitted ot practice where the contract was signed, and where teh property is in Mexico. It does not appear that Missouri law would apply, unless it was where the deal waw made or a substantial part of the advertising or enticement occured.

Good Luck
