Legal Question in Tax Law in Missouri

Inheritance Tax

I may be receiving a large sum of money into my checking account. Only 30% of it will be mine. I need to know how what inheritance tax will be placed on the money and how do I avoid being taxed on the total amount. Thank you very much.
