A little over a year ago I got a speeding ticket and a ticket for an expired license (3 days expired). I put them away in my desk and simply forgot about them until I found them yesterday. What kind of trouble or fines am I facing and what do I need to do to resolve the situation? The tickets were issued in Illinois.

It is probable that there was a court date which you did not attend, and on that court date a judgment was issued against you on the tickets. If there was a bond, it was probably forfeited. If not, you may owe fines and costs. Sometimes e are able to fix these problems even at this late date depending upon what court you were supposed to appear in on these tickets. I would definitely advise you to hire an attorney to see if this porblem can be fixed.
