Beneficiary to an annuity

Can a annunity amount left to a beneficiary (family member) be contested by another family member. I have been told it can not be.

anyone can challenge anything. The issue really is whether the challenge will be successfull. It is extremely difficult to win such a challenge unless it can be shown that the beneficiary was named as a result of the exercise of undue influence or fraud. Both are extremely difficult to prove.
