Re: Work comp deposition?

Normally, the deposition of a workers' compensation claimant (the employee) is taken by the employer's attorney in order to learn about the facts of the accident and the injuries alleged. This is sometimes called a discovery deposition. There is no mandatory order in which a workers' compensation case progresses. Once medical treatment is completed, a final medical evaluation by a doctor chosen by the employee's attorney will be scheduled. That will move the claim toward completion, either by settlement or trial. For more information, visit our website at Ankerholzsmith.com.

Re: Work comp deposition?

Are you represented by an attorney? If so, then you should direct all of your questions to your attorney. If not, then you should hire an attorney to represent you immediately. The fact that the other side has taken your deposition tells me that they are spending time and money fighting your claim, probably either the fact of injury itself or the nature and extent of your injury. You will be making a big mistake if you go through this without an attorney, and I can refer you to one of the best if you are not already represented.
