Legal Question in Medical Leave in Montana

Terminated while in a treatment facility

My husband was fired while he was in a treatment facility for opiate addiction. She told me he was fired while he was gone. Is this legal? He called the manager three times to notify her that he was checking himself in and she did not return his phone calls. Now we are deemed uneligible for unemployment benefits. Isn't this situation covered under FMLA laws?

Re: Terminated while in a treatment facility

Unless there is something in his employment agreement or work manual, an employer can fire some one for no reason or any reason. If I am missing something let me know.
