Unwilling Creditors

I have found in my practice that creditors are more willing to work with attorneys who seek to lower debt payments than if the debtor himself or herself seeks to do this with a creditor. I would recommend that you see an attorney and have the attorney begin communications with the creditors, especially so if you are trying to keep from doing a bankruptcy. If your debt is so high that you have no means to pay creditors on a reduced payment level, you may have no alternative other than to file for bankruptcy.
