Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Nebraska

My Husband and I recently relocated to NE from IN. He had been unemployed for 6 months and I am on disability. Before he accepted this job we were already considering bankruptcy. Now that we are here how do we still go about doing this. I have read the residency laws but cannot figure it out. Any help greatly appreciated.

You must file bk where you live at the time of filing. Past residency is only relevant to determine the exemptions that you can use. You will need to discuss the matter with a NE bk attorney to move forward with the bk.
