Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Nebraska

Auto injury

I was recently involved in an auto accident. I was in the back seat of my fiance's parents car on the passenger side when we were hit on the passenger side by another vehicle. I did not feel like I was injured at the time but the next day at work my back began to hurt very badly. I went to my doctor and realized my back was swollen and the muscles were torn and spasyiming. I have been going to physical therapy now for 2 weeks. My question is: I hurt my back a little over a year ago while playing with my nephew at the park. I bruised my lower back and fractured my foot. I had to go to physical therapy for my foot and while I was there they treated my back to make it feel better. DO I still have a case even though I have in my medical records that my back was minorly injured before? When I first hurt my back, it lasted roughly 2-3 weeks. That was over a year ago. My back has not hurt at all until the day after the accident. Could you please let me know what I should do. Thank you

Re: Auto injury

You have a new injury and a new case. Those who injure others by their negligence take their victims as they find them. Your prior injury, if fully resolved at the time of the second injury, is compensable just as the first was. If the first injury was aggravated by another's negligence, that is compensable also. Recommend you consult a Personal Injury attorney in your town for further evaluation and advice.
