Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Nebraska

Judgement

I injured a man in a fight in 1996 and was sued by said man in civil court for approx. &79,000. They began to garnish my wages for one pay period until I declared bankruptcy (chapter 7) back in 1997. I was taken to court again because the man I injured's attorney's said that the debt could not be discharged because it was ''willful and malicious'' harm on another person. Since this time they have not attemped to collect the debt in any way. I have since been married, purchased a home, car, etc... My question is why they have not attempted to collect this debt in the last 9 years? It shows that it has been discharged on my credit report as well, not sure why. Maybe it is because there was some other debt that was discharged. I am just concerned that someday out of the blue I am going to have someone trying to garnish my wages and take my house etc... Please help my understand this if you can. Thanks
