Legal Question in Criminal Law in Nebraska

What to do?

i was caught shoplifting with 2 friends and the way we were caught was the worker says she saw us take clothes and put them in our bags but we were in a dressing room the whole time and if she did look in the dressing room that would be illegal. The police never asked to look in my bag, the security ladies made me stand up and hold out my pants so they could look down my pants to see if anything was in my sweatpants which i think is totally illegal. The police officer told me my friends ratted me out and that he knew i shoplifted the items and to quit lying to him and he then took my bag and opened it and looked through not just items that might have been stolen, but my personal items that had nothing to do with the shoplifting. The workers than wrote down on the report that I was not being ''helpfull'' to the police because i wouldnt tell them everything because i pled the 5th. And they also wrote down that I was very uncoperative with them because i wouldnt tell them the truth. I feel i was treated very unfairly and I am currently banned for life from that store. What legal measures do I take from here? And who should I call to help?

Re: What to do?

First, you need to concern yourself with the charges. Then you can concern yourself with possible civil rights violations. You need to hire an attorney to discuss your options with you.
