Mistakes in I-94 form

Hi

Few days back I came to US. I'm a H1-B visa holder and my H1 was processed at Vermont.

At the time of port of entry, I did some mistakes while filling my first and last name of I-94. Then I passed through port of entry without any problem.

After that my employer has adviced me to correct the mistakes in I-94 form. I posted my I-94(original) to INS, NE. But, sofar I didn't get any information from INS. I'm not able reach INS, because I don't have any recipt from INS. I have only a postal receipt. Now employer is planning to send me back to my country due to delay of getting I-94 form and not having SSN.

1. How can I get my corrected I-94 from INS.

2. Is it possible to get Social Security Number without I-94. As i told earlier, i don't have original copy of I-94. I have only a xerox copy of that.

3. Is it possible to apply for the transfer of H1 by another company without SSN and I-94(original).

Your help is more appreciated. Because, my employer is planning me to send my home country in 2 weeks.

Re: Mistakes in I-94 form

Although you're already sent back by the time this is posted, your case sounds suspicious. How could you have made mistakes while filling out your first AND last names?! And how can you not have a receipt back from INS?
