Legal Question in Juvenile Dependency in Nebraska

assult?

My 12 year old daughter and a girlfriend were at the city park last night when 3 boys of roughly the same age as her approched them and threw a soda bottle containging their urine at my childs legs, soaking her in it. When she ran across the street to wash off she left her sandles behind and the friend saw these boys then urinate on the shoes. She brought home the shoes and I went back with her and retrieved the bottle, which still had urine in it. I then called the police. I was told the most this would amount to is harrassment. I believe that since it was bodily fluids it should be a criminal offense! What can I do?

Re: assult?

File a police report and request assault charges with bodily fluids (or whatever they call it in your state). It will probably go to juvenile court, and the judge can make payment for a new pair of shoes a condition of probation.
