Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Nebraska

Can I break my lease without being penalized?

I have a lease which will end in July. I have filled two complaints with my lanlord and one through the police about my neighbors. They are really noisy, and it all happens after 10:00 pm. A couple days after I filled the police report my car was keyed. I am scared for the safty of myself and my child if I complain one more time. I want out of the lease and want not to be penalized were I would have to pay for the remaining balance of my lease and I would like my deposit back. I was told that if I complained one more time they will be evicted, now who's to say that they wont come back and try to retaliate. Is there anything I can do?

WHo told you that eviction would be result of complaint? If landlord, that is illegal.
