Legal Question in Banking Law in Netherlands

False lawyer

I need to know who to report a person who is using lawguru claiming to be a lawyer from the Netherlands and gaining money. This is a long story but a Mark Lewis claimed to be a lawyer for a Jason Manzoor who was dying and needed his money to be dispersed to charities.Mark Lewis had me open an account on line which was suppose to be a true bank. The bank was crown express bank. This is a false bank. Anyhow I ended sending 5,000 dollars to this bank and Mark Lewis said he put the 28 million in my account but when I tried to transfer I could not. The bank said I needed to send another 8,000 dollars for a non resident tax. There is no such tax. I informed Mr. Lewis of this and told him it was all a scam but at that time he agreed I needed to pay this tax. Once he knew that I knew it was a scam he did not answer my e mails any more. His e mail address is :[email protected]

Please advice who to contact so we can put a stop to this.

Re: False lawyer

we certainly empathize with the severe misfortune you suffered as a result of this fraudulent person's conduct toward you. however, these type of "scams" are prevalent lately, and often classified as "nigerian scams". you might want to look online in a search engine to get more information on them and the relevant authorities that may be able to assist you criminally here as well as civilly. anytime something sounds far too good to be true, that is usually the case. if you might like further legal direction in this matter, feel free to email us directly. we wish you the best in getting justice here.
