Legal Question in Personal Injury in Netherlands

injury in bus at amsterdam terminal

i was injured while on a bus at the amsterdam airport, while being transported from the city hopper to the terminal to get on the larger plane to return to the states. the bus hit a tram that carries luggage. i was sitting in the last row and when he slammed on the brakes, my head hit the back of the bus then whipped forward and hit a pole in front of me. down the right side of my face overmy eye brow. my left knee hit the bottom rail. i saw the first aid doctor at the airport before leaving. since then, i have terrible burning in my back and neck and a terrific headache that will not stop. my lower back and down my left leg is very bad. i am in pain management to try and releive the pain.

I am looking for an attorney that will not charge me unless the case is won. I was contacted by one attorney, but he wants paid up front and I cannot afford to do this since i am not working. is there any attorneys in the netherlands that will take the case on this bases?

thank you for your help,

maryann

The only law firm based in South Florida that I am familiar with that has an office in Amsterdam is Greenberg Traurig. I do not know whether its Amsterdam office handles personal injury matters on behalf of plaintiffs. Its website is www.gtlaw.com. Good luck.

Suggest you check with the US Embassy or Consulate in Amsterdam for recommendation of lawyers who handle personal injury claims. Most US law firms with offices in foreign countries are business and financial oriented. In the US contingency fees are customary but are not in many countries. In England they are prohibited.
